KIND REGARDS from some kid working for SE Water, trying to justify a 52% hike on a water bill for a family of very modest income living in a semi detached house. Revolting. Couldn’t live with myself.

January 2025, my water bill was £54. It went up with the price hike to £83. Just received a cheery TEXT saying your plan has been changed. £114. More than doubled in 9 months. I have had waterworks for weeks outside my house disturbing me and there’s 💩 in the sea. 🙌🏻@sewateruk

End of an era here. Found out today my children’s much loved ballet teacher is packing in and our dog walker is also ceasing to operate. Pretty sad about both things (the dog is a PAIN so hard to find a good walker)

*Some* of the behaviour we witnessed- and I know you’ll be shocked, but it was mainly British people- at Disney- was not dissimilar. The worst being a dreadful meathead and his female companion essentially assaulting people to get their kid in a massive pushchair on a bus first.

Thank you to everyone who helped me vent my pros and cons the other day. Daughter has chosen to go to the new school. While it’s not an entirely perfect fit for her, we both think that she’ll be happier overall and do better there. Now we can all look forward with a fresh start.
