Ontario’s Conservatives are cutting school bus eligibility for most age groups. Gr 9-12: Must live over 3.2km (doubled) Gr 4-8: >1.6km Gr 1-3: >1.6km (doubled) Kindergarten: >800m (2x) This will impact many especially in rural areas. #onpoli #onted tbnewswatch.com/local-news/ont…
@tylerwatt90 This way they can make it look like there’s no driver shortage.
@tylerwatt90 good, make them walk to school like i did. better yet, don't go to school
@tylerwatt90 Doesn't Uncle Douggy know that only about 3% of grade 9-12 are even capable of walking that far? The rest will get rides from mommy and daddy, CO2 emissions will massively increase and the planet will die?
@tylerwatt90 I'm not sure I'm completely mad about this, because one of my 100yr old HS locations near me closed. Had it been still open kids would still be able to walk there.
@tylerwatt90 @RichardCityNews @ColinDMello something you can maybe ask @fordnation next time, if you ever get to ask him questions again.
@tylerwatt90 @gator_gum I used to bike to school 3 km one way (or pay for a city bus) in grades 7 and 8 as I was in the early immersion program… don’t see a problem here really?
@tylerwatt90 Grade 9 to 12 OK maybe. 3 km isn't that far ... but have they seen how fast the Littles walk? Takes 10 minutes just to get them down the hall! I see more parents driving their kids to school.
@tylerwatt90 My Son and family live in Prince Edward County, and my granddaughter has to be taken 4 KM each morning by 6:30 Am to catch the school bus at HWY 49 to travel to high school in Belleville. No flexibility by the board as to pick up point. Often buses canceled for weather.
