Yesterday, our residency hosted its journal club, reviewing two papers and discussing the HEART score and heart pathway. The day wrapped up with a pickleball doubles tournament. Congratulations to Patrick Kane, DO, and Nathan Rollings, DO, on bringing home the trophies!🏆

The Vandalia Health CAMC Emergency Medicine Residency recently hosted a Wilderness Simulation Day, where residents practiced lifesaving skills for resource-limited settings. The training focused on breathing management, fracture stabilization, patient extraction and more.

Last week, CAMC Emergency Medicine residents and faculty visited the Emergency Medicine Interest Group at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. They led a hands-on airway skills course and discussed our residency program with the students.
Today, the Emergency Medicine residents took part in a simulated mass casualty incident drill, working alongside first responders to build critical skills in emergency preparedness and coordinated response.
