Charleston, WV, is the capital city of West Virginia. The city offers many activities, events and local shops and restaurants to visit. Plenty of surrounding areas are great for hiking and have beautiful sights.
This year has been filled with many milestones and memories! Our program completed its first year and is currently in its second year as a residency with the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine. We are excited to see what the future brings!
James Harman, DO, with another successful thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke! The patient had come in unable to use their right arm and had impaired speech, but only a few days later, he walked out of the hospital! Students Tommy Fox and Anosh Akbar observed the procedure.
A night filled with fun! The residents and SIGN students on service went to a "working dinner" to learn how to think about second drug therapy in epilepsy. Braydon Dymm, MD, David Lardizabal, MD, Amir Touray, MBBS, and Suzanne Crandall, DO, joined in the fun, too.
Thank you to Danielle Becker, MD, Division Director of Epilepsy at Ohio State University, for giving an incredible Grand Rounds lecture on neuromodulation and epilepsy!

Faculty member David Lardizabal, MD, ABMS, shares insight on how our program prepares residents to navigate various neurological conditions. We are committed to helping residents gain the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care.
