A modest line of thinderstorms are developing along the Interstate 70 corridor along a weak boundary. Clearing skies allowed for some added instability leading to this thunderstorm development. Frequent lighting, gusty winds, and heavy rainfall will be the main threats.

#STLwx #MOwx #SaintLouis #Flood Here is the updated rain total from a couple Saint Louis airports. Some areas have received over a foot of rainfall, already. Rain will continue to fall at times today.

Flood Watch now up for far southern Ohio, southeastern Indiana, northern Kentucky, over into most of southern West Virginia. Rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall will occur today through early Wednesday. This longevity of rainfall will lead to flooding and flash flooding

A stationary front draped across the ”Bluegrass” state will move little over the next 48-60 hours. Waves of low pressure will ride along the front bringing with it repetitive rounds of rainfall. WPC Excessive Rainfall outlook for Tuesday (Image 1), Wednesday (Image 2).
