$Googl carrying the day for NQ today… haven’t seen that in a long time.
I’m out on vacation but by the looks of it one way or another Lisa Cook is cooked.
I was ~80% confident JPow would come neutral to hawkish today. Clearly I was wrong but still think data may eventually steer the Fed back to my baseline.

If you squint you can see services inflation picking up as a result of labor supply shock (immigration). Risk is we see north of 3.5% core PCE at some point in the next several months. Don’t think Fed raises rates but stays put for longer (assuming no intervention from DJT).
The nyt $meta article has nothing new. It mentions executive departures from pre SI hires. The division org has been known for sometime. Shares are selling off due to “where there’s smoke there’s fire” effect. But doesn’t look like anything of substance.
Fed shifting dove and Waller as chair. Aside from we could have gotten here without all the drama, this is a great outcome.
The silver lining on the job revisions is that it should close the gap between the Fed and the WH. We’ll probably get a 25bp cut in each of the next 3 Fed meetings.
