I’ve been thinking a lot about how things current covid situation is impacting women (compared to prior waves) Big difference is that schools are / going to open, so this major childcare / homeschool burden from 2020 is in theory relieved But this doesn’t = no gendered effect

Today, despite 100k people joining our campaign @GraziaUK @PregnantScrewed the govt wrote to us saying they will not even consider an independent review into childcare in the UK. Even while some parents face bills of £52k and thousands of nurseries close due to underfunding.

But we desperately need more equal parenting. So, we need to replace ShPL with a more equitable system, based on individual, non-transferable rights to *better paid* leave for *each* parent.
