@NrinderWard3 Thank you! Beasley has the worst air quality readings in the province. @FlukeTransport promised to stop sending trucks through, but they lied and are still short cutting. We need to get the inner city streets off the truck route asap. We can't afford another year of studies!
Received the Clean Air Hamilton report yesterday at Board of Health. I asked about #hamont having the highest PM 2.5 levels over 9 other cities in Ontario. Also, air quality differs depending on where you live. This is a health equity issue. It is an environmental justice issue.

Hey @jasonfarrhamont I just saw a tandem tanker truck accelerate to blow through a red light on Wilson at Catharine, then almost rear end a school bus that was turning at Dr Davey. It all happened too fast for me to get a picture.
This made us think of the #truckroutereboot too...trucks save 'let's call it 2 minutes' at a very costly expense to residents in #HamOnt neighborhoods. Poor air quality, noise, and other cons of very large vehicles endangering residents so trucks can shortcut through our city

HUGE THANKS to @jasonfarrhamont for stepping up to save this intersection, which had no curb protection in the initial design. This simple change is already keeping trucks out of the bike lane, making the Cannon experience so much better for cyclists and pedestrians 👏👏👏

Cuts right through our hood & drivers fly off it with no regard to the neighbourhood or pedestrians. We think neighbourhoods are key stakeholders and hope that neighbourhoods will be considered in the truck route planning.

At Board of Health meeting for Clean Air Hamilton presentation - transportation related activities are significant contributors to #HamOnt air pollution levels - over last 10 years we have had highest PM2.5 measures of 9 other large cities including Toronto, Burlington & Sarnia
