This is very unfortunate. Imagine the implications years from now of the new bathtubbing req. in the city of Toronto. Consultants, developers, builders all have been flagging this from day one, it is impractical. This city imposed policy is only going to hurt homeowners.

Missed opportunity and can’t understand how this wasn’t considered… a simple reassessment of property values (they’re still living in 2016 lalaland) would’ve helped to solve their shortfalls. Not to mention take the heat off the City for now having to raise taxes.

How does the @cityoftoronto expect to increase house affordability when they just announced a 48.8% increase in development charges today. That means on a single family home you have to pay now $139,830 just in development charges (that’s almost $50,000 more today than yesterday)
