In NTC's West Village avg asking condo price~ 2,400/ SF (WSJ). Avg rental rate/SF ~$6.50/SF/Mo (Costar). What factors contribute MOST to super strong demand to live in W. Village? Charming architecture? Appeal of shops/food? Narrow streets? Something else? wsj.com/real-estate/lu…

Tree maintenance hall of shame candidate here. These photos are from the @CentralMarket parking lot in #fortworth recently. Is there any reason to transform these live oak trees into a giant lollipops? If anything, in summer, we all want more shade over parking lots, not less.

Thanks to @FortWorthReport for organizing & reporting. Glad panel covered reducing hurdles to building on infill sites & that @AnnZadeh brought up allowing more housing types. 👍 How about reducing parking minimums & allowing improved res density close-ish to commercial uses?

Exciting to read this announcement today. I think @TCUMedSchool in this @nearsouthside location would be an awesome place to be a student. Exceptional location to study & live around other smart, creative people - esp for 22-30ish yr olds.

Is it smarter for office landlords to sign shorter term leases (1-3 yrs) vs longer in current environment? One reason people cite MF as attractive vs other CRE is shorter leases (opportunity for faster rent increases). If yes, will perm lenders get on board w/ shorter terms?

Thank you @MayorMattie, John Goff & others who worked on this for Fort Worth. A major research univ has been big missing piece in FW's economy & will surely make a big positive impact over years (generations). Is the perfect place for this: @DTFortWorth next to @TrinityMetro.

W/ tree preservation rules in cities there's trade-off bw having denser, walkable places & ensuring strong tree coverage. I've been reading a book to my kids re history of Manhattan (orig forest). Would it have been better if NYC saved more trees given would have = lower density?

A pattern here: Austin, Fort Worth, Charlotte & Columbus added residents @ almost identical pop density 2010-20. Each had strong infill growth but lots of low density single family growth too. A different group (SF, Seattle, DC) added approx triple the # people/sq mile.

New Census data coming out so seeing how US cities have changed over last 10 yrs (2010-2020). Some surprises (some not). Fort Worth, Hou, Phx, Austin, Charlotte big growth - but one jumps off the chart: NYC. I would have expected flat to even small decline).
