@CancerHacker I consider it a disease of progressive tissue dysregulation that leads to eventual systemic failure. But I draw heavily from @TuftsUniversity Drs. Soto and Sonnenschein “TOFT” theory which IMO is by far the best explanation I’ve seen yet: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/P…

@CancerHacker A mutation+evolution driven state of enhanced fitness/robustness relative to its normal counterpart (at the cellular or tissue level). This happening at such an incredibly accelerated and uncoordinated manner at the expense of the host.

@CancerHacker A reversion from multicellular, diploid, sexual reproduction to unicellular, diploid, asexual reproduction. Metastasis, dormancy, and other cancer behaviors are best explained by evoluationary theory applied to individual cells residing the environment of the body.
